"Ding Dong the Witch is Dead"

"Which old witch? The wicked witch! Ding dong the wicked witch is deeeaaad!"  Since I heard about Osama Bin Laden this little song has been going over in my brain! haha!

Hi my little readers!  The world is a better place today than it was yesterday, one less crazy here!  I'm just feeling happy today so I thought I would share it in a frivolous post! I suppose it started yesterday when my pastor spoke a beautiful word in the a.m. (if you want to look it up go to Capital Community!)

Reason # 3 for my fabulous mood: It's spring guys! Yay! Warm weather, green grass, birds singing, "twitterpation" (thank you Disney's Bambi for that word), flowers sprouting, open windows and up-beat music! Okay, so that was more that one reason, sue me! haha!

Not to mention, I get to be a beautiful, fun, smart and ridiculously great catch of a woman! haha!  Seriously, I don't give myself this pep talk enough and it's easy to forget sometimes... But that little statement isn't only for myself it's for you, whether you're male or female!

Today I think you should follow my lead: get yourself in a good mood ASAP! Smile ("Always remember to be happy because you never know who's falling in love with your smile." -Author Unknown), allow (or force haha!) yourself to happy and confident and do something nice for a stranger to pay it forward!  Start something good with a note left behind when you leave (one of my favorite ideas! It costs nothing but goes farther than you would think!), free coffee or smile and compliment wherever you are right now and watch it spark all around you!

Even though I know that it was a fake, the sentiment of that fake MLK post going around Facebook was in my heart before I even read it. I know now the emotions the world felt when it was revealed Adolf Hitler was dead. And I thought...how do we rejoice in the tortured and lost death of another human being? Don't get me wrong..I celebrate the end of the reign of terror. But I can't help but feel a heavy sadness for the fate of Bin Laden's eternal soul.

Just to confirm, I too am saddened by the fact Osama Bin Laden mostly didn't get the chance to make things right with his maker before he met death... However, I do believe the world is better without him. There is a season and a time for everything, a time for war and a time for peace, a time for death... I do not rejoice in the death of a lost soul but the justice for thousands of lost souls, I would have been just as happy to keep him alive in a cell but that would only bring death to many more. It's the lesser of the two evils, no?

I know just what you mean, and I can't disagree. Totally am on board with the idea for the justice for the victims. Just still struggle with the "Hooray he's finally dead" sentiment that many have. Loved your Mom's poem, btw...:)

the way i see it, maybe, just maybe the people who would have died as a result of more of osama's terrorist plots will now have an opportunity to hear truth preached to them since he's not a direct threat. certainly, others may rise to take his place, but i'm praying enough intel was collected that will keep the gov a step ahead of any plots.

no, i don't celebrate a lost soul either, but i do celebrate that in effect lives were saved because of this man's death. think of all the bad things that won't happen because of the gov's intervention and interception.

Ha! Same song has been going through my head! Don't even remember much of it just the same line! Is that wizard of oz? Everytime I think about osama that's exactly what kept going thru my head. Funny we thought the same thing. Can't say I feel guilty or sad for the man. He was pure evil so goood riddens!
